This black cowl was crocheted using single and double crochet with a K10.5/6.50 mm hook. To be honest, I had trouble with connecting the ring. It would always end up twisting on me! I read several patterns, which were VERY VERY clear not to twist the chain when connecting the end of the chain to the first chain with slip stitch. Even though I was aware, I still managed to find a slight twist after I finished a row! It was pretty obvious that I was doing something wrong-- again and again! Finally, after putting it away and giving it a rest, I came back to work on it and FINALLY the ring came out straight! It fits snug to the face and covers the neck to keep the wind out. It definitely is a wonderful accessory to have during the winter! I'm hoping to make a looser one with a hood as my next project!

Flower Headband
This double stranded flower headband was very easy to make and can be finished in a day! The flower was a little bit difficult to make, seeing as this is the first flower I have ever attempted. On the first attempt, the flower looked more like a rounded star. After a few more times and realizing you have to push the petals to the side to fit all six, it was a success! I have now mastered the flower! Yay! I decided to sew the underneath together to make the headband fit a little bit tighter.
Masa Bag
As for my second project, I found this cute Masa Bag design while browsing crochet patterns on the internet. I modified the measurements to the size I preferred. This took approximately a week to complete using single crochet through the back loops. I had some trouble figuring out the folding and sewing of the bag, but eventually I figured it out! Definitely very happy with the way it turned out!
Classic Ipod Cozy
Being new to the world of crochet, I decided to start with a small project-- an Ipod Cozy. This cozy was designed for the Classic Ipod. It is crocheted using single crochet with an G6/4mm hook. This cozy is quite simple to make and takes only a day or two to complete (for a newbie, like myself anyways!) I am pretty sure the experienced crocheter can knock this out within 15-30 min. After you get the hang of, and of course, starting over quite a few times, it is a piece of cake! =)
